The story
Apologies fly, but the night keeps getting louder
The neighbors complain, the landlord calls, and the cops show up at midnight, but the music keeps snapping back to full blast. A boot print stains the ceiling, a goat wanders through, and the yard burns with a bonfire while karaoke grinds on; he says sorry to 4B, the HOA, and his mama, then invites everybody back Friday night.
Lyrics
Verse 1
The neighbors filed a complaint, the landlord's on the phone Apparently the bass was shakin' two floors down below There's a boot print on the ceiling and I can't explain the goat But we had the time of our lives and that's all she wrote
Pre-Chorus
I know it got a little outta hand But that's what happens when the boys don't have a plan
Chorus
Sorry for partyin', but I ain't really sorry at all Sorry for the noise and the holes inside the wall Sorry for the bonfire in the middle of the yard Sorry for the karaoke that went a little hard I'd say I won't do it again but that would be a lie Sorry for partyin', see you Friday night
Verse 2
The cops showed up at midnight, said somebody called it in We turned the music down for thirty seconds, then it kicked back in There's a traffic cone collection now displayed above the bar And someone parked a lawn mower right behind my car
Verse 3
Some people live for quiet, some people live for peace Well, I live for the chaos and the volume on release We're young and dumb and full of fun and that's a holy right So save your noise complaint, I'll save your invite
Bridge
To the lady in apartment 4B And the guy who called the HOA on me And my mama who just shook her head and sighed Sorry for partyin', at least nobody died
The sound
Raucous party country at 130 BPM. Loud, distorted electric guitar riff opening. Pounding drums with double-time hi-hat. Heavy bass guitar. Banjo ripping at full speed. Crowd noise and party sounds layered in. Fiddle playing wildly. The loudest, most unapologetic arrangement possible. Think house party meets tailgate meets honky-tonk. Rowdy, shameless, hilarious.
