The story
A broken phone leaves a bigger break behind.
He stands over a screen cracked in a spiderweb of lines, thumb hovering over the messages he cannot unsee. Every buzz now feels like a dare, every blank reply like another door closing, and he keeps the phone face-down as if that can quiet what it already said. By the end, the glass is still broken, and so is he.
