The story
The last call lands on an empty room.
The stools stand vacant, the neon hums, and the bartender wipes down a counter nobody’s leaning on. One by one the regulars have drifted out into the night, leaving the jukebox to play to the empty bar and the speaker to keep talking to the dark. He stays with the silence a little longer, knowing closing time has already won.
